PORTLAND, Maine – MedRhythms has entered into a strategic partnership with Edwards Health Care Services (EHCS), a leading provider of direct-to-home medical products, to make its groundbreaking neurotherapeutic devices available to patients nationwide. These next-generation solutions are designed to improve walking and mobility using the power of music.
MedRhythms’ current offerings include:
- InTandem – for adults with chronic stroke-related walking impairments
- MOVIVE – for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease
“This partnership represents a major milestone in expanding access to both InTandem and MOVIVE,” said Joel Behnke, Chief Commercial Officer of MedRhythms. “In addition to our nationwide coverage for veterans, people with chronic stroke or Parkinson’s disease who have Medicare or commercial insurance can now receive these life-changing therapies at home, making rehabilitation more accessible and convenient.”
The collaboration builds on MedRhythms’ strong reimbursement infrastructure. It follows a recent decision by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to create a unique HCPCS code (E3200), establish payment for the code, and classify gait modulation systems using rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS) as durable medical equipment (DME).
“At Edwards Health Care Services, our mission is to increase access to innovative therapies that empower people to live healthier and more independent lives,” said Matthew Edwards, CEO of EHCS, a GEMCORE family company. “By partnering with MedRhythms, we can bring proven neurorehabilitation solutions directly into patients’ homes, helping to improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for those managing stroke recovery and Parkinson’s disease.”
